BKO7 TEAM CONDUCTS MEDCAP AT LDN
     
Republic of the Philippines – The RP – US Balikatan 07 team started the conduct of its Medical Civic Action Program in the area of Magsaysay, Lanao Del Norte on Feb 19.
      The activity started with a registration followed by consultation and distribution of medicines. A total of four hundred forty eight (448) patients were provided free medical service while two hundred thirty six (236) patients were given dental check-up and treatment. Other medical assistance rendered includes circumcision, minor surgery and eye or ophthalmologic check-up. A total of eighty four (84) patients were circumcised, six (6) were given minor surgery and one hundred fifty (156) were able to improve their vision through the conduct of eye check-up. Joint personnel from the Army’s 104th Brigade, 1st Infantry Division and the U.S. military facilitated said MEDCAP that benefited a total of 930 local residents.
      The people of Magsaysay, Lanao del Norte were very grateful with the efforts of the RP-US BK 07 team and the government as a whole, in reaching out to their level and upholding their living condition through humanitarian projects like the MEDCAP.
      The successful conduct of MEDCAP not only cultivated the true sense of “BALIKATAN” but also established camaraderie and harmonious relationship among the soldiers and the inhabitants in the area.
      The AFP and its counterpart once again continue to win the hearts of the people as they unwaveringly perform their mandated duties as a caring and responsive force.
