BK 07 MEDICAL CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMS (MEDCAP) REACHES LANAO DEL SUR AND SULU

      Republic of the Philippines – The RP – US Balikatan 07 team conducted simultaneous Medical Civic Action Program in Munai, Lanao Del Norte and in the island of Patikul, Sulu on Feb 20.

      In Lanao Del Norte, a total of five hundred twenty eight (528) patients underwent free medical consultations and were given generous medical assistance while one hundred five (105) individuals, mostly children were given dental check-up and treatment. All in all, six hundred thirty three (633) residents in the area benefited from the medical and civic aid extended by RP-US soldiers.

      In Patikul, Sulu, at least four hundred seventy eight (478) residents joined the BK 07 MEDCAP. Four hundred three (403) of them were able to acquire medical support and medicines while the remaining seventy five (75) were given free medical consultation by both RP and US military medical personnel.

      The MEDCAP brought brighter smiles to the residents in the area who were very thankful of the services extended to them by the MEDCAP personnel. The activities also showed the true spirit of “shoulder to shoulder” in the conduct of BK 07 activities.
